ANDREA GUERZONI
Andrea Guerzoni graduates in painting at the Accademia delle Belle Arti
in Turin and since 2000 he regularly exposes his works both in personal and
collective exhibitions. Since 2005 he chooses the aphorism as artistic process:
his written, drawned and painted fragments offer ironic, melancholic and
tragicomic situations where crying and laughter interleave. His quotes and
homages to authors as Alda Merini, Fernando Pessoa and Carol Rama regularly
return from many years. The fetishistic imaginary he shows in the recent
exhibitions can be considered a metaphor of the special connection he has with
his favorite characters.
